The Leave the Tarmac sticker says what a green lane rider does at the weekend, in heavy black letters on white with the Holloway folded map alongside. It's 20 x 6 cm, sized for the side of a pannier or top box.

Where it fits
At 20 x 6 cm, it suits:
- The side or lid of an aluminium pannier or top box
- A flat fairing panel or the side of a tail pack
- A van's back window or a trailer, for the drive to the lanes
- A toolbox, kit box or garage cupboard
Never on your number plate. A plate may only show the registration and the permitted marks, and DVLA says a wrongly displayed plate can mean a fine of up to £1,000 and an MOT failure.
Making it stay on
- Clean the spot with soapy water, then isopropyl alcohol.
- Apply somewhere warm, on a smooth surface, not textured plastic.
- Press from the middle out, and wait a day or two before jet-washing.
