England and Wales have a genuinely extensive network of historic byways, old drove roads and county-maintained tracks that have carried traffic for centuries, hiding in plain sight down country lanes most riders never think to check. You don't have to trailer across the country for real off-road riding, in most counties there's a proper network of it closer than you'd expect, most of it just not well known or easy to find until now.
Grading a lane properly means actually riding it, so that's what we're doing, county by county. If you spot a bike wearing a Holloway sticker out on a byway, give us a wave.

No, not for off-road green lanes. Scotland has different access law, the right to roam explicitly excludes motor vehicles, and there's no BOAT or definitive-map system like England and Wales use. Off-tarmac riding in Scotland is presumptively not legal unless a specific, known exception applies. Our coverage is England and Wales.
It depends entirely on the specific lane and, for Scotland, the country. In England and Wales, a lane is legal for motor vehicles if it's a Byway Open to All Traffic (BOAT) or an Unclassified County Road (UCR). Restricted byways, bridleways and footpaths are not. Legal status can also change through a Traffic Regulation Order, so always check a specific lane before riding it.
