The Tennyson Trail (Nodgham Lane, Carisbrooke to the Military Road, Freshwater Bay) is closed to all public motor vehicles under The Isle of Wight Council (Tennyson Trail, IW (Prohibition of Driving) Order No 1 2006. No motorcycle exemption. Access from 1 April to 30 September is limited to Blue Badge holders, licensed hackney carriages and community vehicles.
